511 project update...
1500hp at 3000lbs sitting in the air ? You got some Brass ones Brian !
LOL!!!!
Ya, don't worry, you'll be going so fast the noise will be stuffed back down your throat.....

Little did I know when he was crawling around in the grease and oil that a monster had been born.
Now I go to visit and look at the new shop and his baby,"daughter" my granddaughter is crawling around with a 9/16 box end in her mouth as a teething ring.
The fluid shift is not a bad idea if what I saw during the runs with the 511 were any indicator. Standing beside that beast when it lit up and watching the wrestling match in the cockpit for the first 60 feet was worth the price of admission alone. In spite of his size when it went green, with eyes on the guages, foot on the pump, one hand on the wheel and the other grabbing gears it reminded me of a cub bear strumming a ukelele.
If the new one brings more to do, then letting the ride-along do the shifting may very well be a good thing because I am NOT volunteering to sit on one side to help with the chores.
This one should be even more fun than the original if I can only get him to let me help. (I thought it was the kid who asked dad to play with the toys)! What's that all about?

I am making one compromise on weight. Its got to have a fire suppression system. I don't know what that adds, but it's a must have.
Fudd, you know where the wrenches are! All you gotta do is show up and start fabricatin'.

We used to have a shop in Green River, I'll ask what the travel time was.
Lomg time no see Bud ! Yeah that Son of yours sure has the Fever for sure !
Its nice to see your felling your old self again...Sounds Like Scoot's going from semi nuts to full "Blown Crazy"
with this new build.. I think his next stop after this will be burning Nitro ! But thats good ..Keeps him off the streets and out of those Honky Tonks...I still think Brian when you get this Monster built and dialed in... You and Fudd should make the trip back to Owensboro, KY for the Big Block Ford Bash at Windy Hollow..and put some of those Big inch boys on the trailer...
I know there's about a half a dozen guys that are running trucks.. Wes Littrel has 2 old uni-body's he runs.. I know we would love to see ya down here.. I'am sure the guys would be jazzed to see your creation...and the plus is its not a Mustang !
Super Pro pay out this year was $2500....Plus I believe Adney Brown thru in another $1000.... And Phillip Oakley pitched in some $$ as well as a few other's...So it was a good payday for Dan Hobbs winner 2 years in a row ...
These are all real cool guys..and if one doesnt know something with a tune they'll find someone who does...there's alot of brains there that are just weekend warriors..and then you have the big boys that dont race anymore but lend there knowledge to the racer's and get hands on..
So it ends up being a good time for everyone...Good people and racing..Kids are more than welcome..and wifes usuaully take over a couple Motorhomes and make batch's of Margi's and they party...As well as the guys not racing.. John Bozelle brings up plenty of Crawfish and other assorted things from Louisiana...
If I can drag Glenn (FFR428) away from his Tunnel port build long enough I'am gonna drag him out next year... For only being a bunch of guys that met over the internet its turned into a bigger and better meet every year....I think Charlie Evans said this past Bash..the Texas Road House had about 70 or so racers there for the party.. So its growing by 20 or so racers every year..
They have invited the FE crowd the second and third year..I know a few have showed up..But not as many as were hoped....they have invited the Texas Outsiders as well as the Dixie Doorslammers, But they havent showed being a conflict with there race dates..
Anyway I didnt meen to write a novel here ...God Bless and Take Care and that means you too Kenny ! and keep us posted on the Hotrod..
