So i was driving home late last night,it was raining like a son of a......when all of a sudden crack,i about jumped out of my skin.i pulled over to see what it was and it was a tree limb that hung low over the road and bounced off my windshield.Now i have a nice cracked windshield that needs to be replaced.How much do front windshields run for used?because my comp deductible is 500 bucks and if i can get a windshield cheaper than that ill do it my self..ahhh gotta love it...im gonna go cry with my truck now..
Its best left to professionals anymore on glass-and BTW if you didn't have it before specify a CARLITE windsheild WITH the "SUPER DUTY" logo on it-they are not much more than without the logo....and look neat too!
The last time I had the windshield replaced, I made sure that it was a Ford Carlite OE windshield.
I have made the mistake in the past of using cheaper aftermarket windshields in other vehicles and have ended up with some irritating "distortions" in the glass. The cheaper windshields are not worth the savings.
think my ins will spend the cash for that or will they try the cheaper route?this is thefirst time ive ever had to go through my ins company to have some thing fixed.I do no that in 2002 my truck had a new one put in under warenty so i migt be a good time to up grade to the better windshield...
