So here is the deal, I am in Colorado on vacation about 1200 miles from home. I am going from here to TN for RRE. Tonight, I went to run to the store and when I started the truck, I got a SES light. So I pulled out the trusty code reader and got codes for the #s 2, 4, 6, and 8 glow plugs.
Having an Excursion I have a GPCM got a GPR. It is dark and pouring rain so I did not get under the hood. I will check the wiring harness in the morning. Could it also be an UVCH? I am not having any injector related codes at all. Any help would be appreciated.
Could be UVCH, but more than likely it's just a GPCM issue. The light might be annoying, but you'll be fine driving around without those 4 glow plugs working this summer.
Sounds like the wiring harness or connector on that bank came loose or something, eh Pete?
Find a self serve car wash bro. With it raining I'm sure nobody will be there. You can use that to get out of the rain and pop your hood to do your snooping.
Yeah, I swapped the connectors. The GPCM is bad. Thankfully its summer. Since I am halfway to RRE in TN, I am not going to worry about it. I may try to find an Ex in a J/Y somewhere along the way. Thanks for the tips guys!
