ok Craig I am jealous!! hot August nights is probably the one thing I miss most about living up there! Any pics? post up if you took any.
No didn't do any pictures. To be honest there were a lot of cars, but a lot of them were BAD. I saw more cars than ever that were finished that the body work looked like someone used a ballpene hammer on them. There were a fair share of nice cars. But not like in past years. Cruise of Champions at the Atlantis was dead on Friday Night. No cars going through. I can remember when they were backed up one right after another for 3 hours. Not this year. One of my favorites was an early 70s F250 2wd Camper Special a pure survivor. A nice looking truck all original outside & in. Under the hood was a Supercharged, Fuel Injected 460 backed up with a C-6 with a fair amount of chrome. Talk about a sleeper.
I'm really liking being back home. We traveled for almost 10 years. We had a great time met a bunch of great people & saw a lot of country. Vici really likes her job. I have been so busy just playing. I spend a lot of time with my long time friend Jim. We go back over 40 years. He is a car collector & retired like me, so we do a lot of fun stuff. I don't see us leaving here anytime soon if ever. We are kind of looking for a piece of property.
I'm slowly recovering from my surgery. I Think I told you guys at the end of April my appendix burst & I walked around a week with it burst. I went to two doctors trying to find out what was happening. I knew I was in serious trouble. Finally, after a sonogram I was rushed into surgery. The surgeon didn't think I would live through the surgery after he opened me up. But Gods not done with me yet. That is quite clear to me. Anyway, I'm alive & doing better. It is slow, but I'm grateful for each day more than ever. I sure know what dieing feels like & it isn't fun. I lost 25 pounds in one week but I don't suggest doing it like I did. Luckily I haven't put but only about 8 pounds back on. I feel better being a little lighter.
