computer mouse

Anyone know how to take apart and clean and put back together ,and it still works , an Apple iMAC mouse?

That method should be used first and for maintenance.
If it doesn't work and you have to take it apart, here is how to take it apart. This guy uses a piece of plastic, but I just used a screwdriver to pop it apart. I wasn't worried about making some small marks in the plastic housing.

When my company bought the iMac, the first thing I did was to take that puny, little mouse (that looks and feels like a mostly used bar of "Dove" soap), and toss it into a drawer, and put a full-sized Microsoft Mouse on it.

Buy a new USB mouse for less than $20.00.

I've heard of people putting them in the dishwasher. Seriously. You have to let them sit out for a couple of days to make sure that they are completely dry before using them again. Also, if it's a wireless version, make sure to take out the batteries first. heard this works well with gunked up keyboards too.
