Best I ever calculated with my 06' F-350 Six-O was 17.5 mpg,,that was the only tankful of fuel that I ever got that kind mileage on,,,,was odd,,going to the same place everyday for a couple months,,,all other tankfuls were around 16 mpg !

Around here I get 12 to 15 mpg,,depending if I pull trailers or not,,,,Hills,,stop and go short runs dont help at all.

I did a best mileage run to the beach a few months ago (~350 miles)

I inflated the tires to 80 PSI, ran about 55-60 MPH, and had a tonneau cover on and was using synthetic oil.
I got 20.3 MPG

I usually get 15.5 MPG in everyday driving

I drove 260 miles today, empty, no trailer (unusual for me). Mostly going 60 on two lane highways.

My "lie-o-meter" said 19.3. Hand calculated was 17.05.

This is probably the best I have gotten. Normally I have a trailer and my numbers are between 8 and 12, depending on what's loaded and which trailer of course.

Bone stock. I average 15-17 in mixed driving and had a best of 21.7 on a trip.

Guy I bought it from told me it gets an honest 16 but I have never checked. When people ask, I tell them I didn't buy it for that. I have a 91' Honda Civic with 210k that still pulls 40mpg!

7.3L diesel, 2WD, manual trans, stock as a rock. I average 19.x mpg everywhere. I go about 400 miles on each tank before refilling. Tank-by-tank mileage will vary between 18.5 - 21 mpg.

I would like to break the 20 mpg barrier but can't justify the expense of mods needed to get there. Just not worth the money considering what I get now.

My 03 7.3EX got 18.5-19 hand calculated pampering it on long trips with no wind or tail wind helped. I never got better than 15 with my 08 6.4 averaged 7.8-12. I now drive a 6.8 and have gotten as good as 17-17.5 pampering it.

My '02 Super Duty gets 22.3 on long trips holding 1,800 rpm and 19.5-20.6 for every day driving.

If I use the bottom half of the throttle, I have gotten as poorly as 15, so I try to not do that too much!

with a 7.3 2wd w/ full synthetic oil, auto, bone stock (for a few more days) I typically get 14-16 in stop-go depending on how big a hurry I'm in. I usually get 18-19 on the freeway and once in awhile eek 20 if I'm babying it on a long trip.

I'm also going from stock... to what you see below over the next few weeks. I'll be sure to let you know how the modifications affect mileage. Not sure if I'll be patient enough to run a tank or two through with just intake and exhaust before bolting the rest on though.
