What's it worth???
ok, yesterday i ran into an old freind at a gas station and he tells me about a truck he found sitting in a barn i mite be interested in. it's a rust free 1978 short bed stepside 2wd he say's.. so later that night me ad him went to check it out and indeed it's a very solid clean reg cab stepside with a straight six, auto.. the owner wants 200.00 and i'm buying it this week.. gonna tune it up and drive it, but what would it be worth. must be worth more than 200.00?? thanks

Well to the right person It would be worth quite a bit more but you have to find the right as* for the seat a guy with a flareside that needs a rear fender would have to pay like $300 for one new aftermarket rear fender. So I would say you found yourself a steal.

i would say its a steal of a deal, at least in the rust belt it is, also some pictures would be nice,
and i see your from PA, i hear there is lots of Rust in PA, i know up here in Southern Ontario Canada a rust free truck is worth way more than 200 bucks, even with a shot drivetrain or zero drivetrain,

Sounds to me like you got someone who just wanted to part with the truck and didn't much care what they got for it, so long as it was gone - and in turn you got a bargain. Even though it's a 2wd, just the fact that it's rust free here in PA would have garnered more money than that...

are you by the place where the coper color early 80's stepside sat for sale about a year ago.... i think you are, i wanted to buy that truck so bad but didnt have the money at the time.
