I owned a car audio shop for nearly 6 years and believe it or not, I never heard a single powered subwoofer. Infinity Basslink has pretty good reviews and would be about the only thing I could recommend (based on overall customer satisfaction) as far as those go. I sold plenty of them, just never listened to them!
Tristan, above is a link to the sub/amp combo that I was looking at. This might be the same or similar combo that was discussed earlier.
Jack,
How much bass you trying to achieve?! That will take up a lot of room. Dealer cost on that Basslink-T is $257 just in case you find something around there I would take it
Chris,
I wouldnt go Bazooka. Heard a lot of bad things about them in the past. For some reason they still make em though. I dont know if you have a CC of Ext cab but you can fit a custom box behind the rear seat in a CC. So if you wanna go amp and 2 10s or so you could in a CC. There is a sponsor her that makes custom boxes to fit under ext cab seats too.
I think I could fit that under my rear seat. There's never anything under there anyway, so it wouldn't be lost space. Thanks for the dealer cost info, I'll look around for something in that range.

Yeah, I don't know much about car audio. I did just get my Pioneer speakers today so I might go out and put them in. We'll see...
This is the system/Box I run In my truck. It holds to 2-8" bass speakers. A great feature with this kind of system is that the Bass is totally adjustable. This way if you choose not to upgrade the rest of your system, for $ reason's or whatever, you won't overpower the rest of your system. And when you do upgrade, you can adjust the bass to macth your sytem. I have the cabinet that goes behinde the RR seat with the Amps under the RR seat as well. It sits nice and tight in the area you can see in the picture I posted earlier without any screws clamps etc.

My wife has the basslink in her 4runner and with its adjustability can rattle her rear view mirror or provide a very full sound. My daughters bazooka, in her Jetta provides a nice sound for the lower frequencies but no real pounding. I can hear my wife's vehicle coming home from about 500 yards and my daughter's car from about 200 yards.
A great early warning system that they're almost home.
Ok, I can never remember which one is which out of crew cab and super cab. I have an "extended" cab whichever that one is lol. I just finished installing my Pioneer speakers in the front but I'm not sure how to remove the door panels on my rear doors. Country, I like that setup you've got there. I need something that will fit under my rear seat I guess? Anybody have subs in there extended cab?
Chris don't quote me on this, but I do believe that this same Bass Speaker box will fit behind your RR seat. I don't know how the super cab is configured because I don't own one, or recall looking behind the RR seat of one. But I do believe they are the same, just shorter cab is all. But I have 2 amps under the seat that run the system. Of you do mount amp's under the seat make sure you tell the installer to mount them off the floor, so that they get enough air to cool them down. The amp that runs my Sub's was mounted right over the muffler/exhaust area on the floor and kept cutting out due to the heat that generated from the exhaust. So I put some rubber bushing's under the amp to get it off the floor about 1-1/2" or so, and it worked great. the amp doesn't over heat and cut out any longer. Here is a pic of the RR of the cab too without the seat installed. Does the rear of your cab look the same?
[quote=canuckelhead;7772441]I was going to put this one in my truck but it's on hold until I get tired of listening to my dual exhaust and turbo mods that I did.
Ok, just wondering. Not trying to sell yah on my install or nothing. I hope I didn't come across that way either. Just showing ya some options with pic's is all. I dont' know that a bass tube would fit under your seat. Not sure on this though.
On Edit: To remove the RR door panels, remove the reflector on the door w/ screwdriver placed in void in Reflector, Pry tab and lift. Remove the little bolt you'll see in there under the reflector. Lower the window, and lift up on the door panel to remove it form the tabs, then it'll come right off towards yah.

Remember that you have brackets under that rear seat that dont make it a straigt shot. Make sure you measure before you order.

Chris...
Ext cab and super cab are the same. If you take the rear seat out(it will not fold forward like CC's) you will see that there is a metal cage of sorts that hold fabric and foam to the seat. Ive tried to figure something out myself that would fit back there, but never got anywhere.
As far as your rear doors...
Remove 2 screws on the window lock thingy. Grab the top right or top left of the panel and yank straight off. The lower panel will have 2 bolts/screws on the top that need to be removed. Then yank straight off like the top one and youre there...
