Replacing mechanical fuel pump
I just bought a universal electric fuel pump and plan on replacing the stock mechanical fuel pump for the electric one.
Has anyone done this? And if so, how does it perform?

after installation be sure to check the fuel pressure that the pump is actually putting out vs. advertised. frequently they put out too much for these engines and wind up needing a regulator. you want about 5 psi (4-6), if it's pushing 7+ you NEED a regulator.
