nice vids b-uno looks like you get some pretty good mud up in alaska judging from the one pic where you seem to be missing most of your passenger side front wheel
@75f350...i always love seeing your shots from azusa canyon, i watched some youtube vids from there and it looks like it can get pretty nasty...if only i lives closer to cali haha, but what happened to the front end of red?
Okay, I'll do my turn. This actually was a trail that we'd been on before. We started out with those famous words "sure, I'll go first" We're the ones with the windshield showing getting winched out. Made it almost 200 yards and could see high ground before the bottom dropped out. As soon as we began to hit high water it was too late to turn back and we had just enough time to say "Submarine" over the CB before it went under so the others could find a different way. It was a fun day.
Oh yeah, our CB is now attached to the upper roll cage.

yeah i hope you were in a good mood to go swimming hahaha, i saw a vid similar to this, a guy on here was cruising through a rather large mud hole and hit a deep spot and the passenger side dropped so far it looked like he was about to roll over, not to mention he was nearly up to the hood in water to begin with,
id hate to be the passenger in either case, looks like you both favor that side to get wet first haha
i cant wait till i get my 4x4 back and get to test run the fresh SAS in the mud, expect pics!
ha sounds like someone has been polar bear dippin? it sucks getting stuck in water when its 20 below if you stand in one place too long you get stuck too haha

Azusa can get interesting. This mud is very complex and is probably the best mud I have ever been in. Yes, I have been to other states and have experoenced some of the good stufff from other areas. Southwestern clay as well as the muck in Florida, but nothing copmares to the Azusa mud. Something about the layers upon layers of different mud that collects. It will swallow up anything any vehicle can throw at it. Challenging, fun and incredibly hard on vehicles.
As far as red's front end, poor red has a hard life. I am not easy on trucks and even if the truck does not quite fit in a area, I will try to squeeze it through. Sheetmetal damage is only part of off roading. I accept the fact that it can occur. Red has seen many front fenders and has had many bumper changes. One day I will realize that it probably does not belong on trails designated for toyotats and jeeps. Just dont tell red it is not the same as the little trucks. it might develop a complex.
Its alright 75f350, my shortbox was on a 4wheeler trail this weekend climbing up to a lookout. I nerved out before making it though. The decomposed granite, steep mountain, lots of close trees and being the only truck intimidated me. That and we were a couple hours from civilization. My wife thought I was crazy to head up the quad trail. For some reason making her think I flipped and gone momentarily crazy is more fun than making it through the obstacle. Ol' Blue our chocolate lab wasn't real happy w me either.
