I noticed that in the Bronco I recently bought, there is no sticker in the door jamb(the "b" pillar).
Does anyone know if I can write to Ford and get a replacement sticker made up or is that not an option.
For now is there another way to get the info that was on the sticker, or will that take a letter to Ford as well.
I Figure that this has happened to others and someone might know the answers to my questions.
Thnx!
The sticker has way more info on it than the VIN can give you. Honestly I think you're screwed. I really doubt you will be able to get a replacement from Ford.
Is it really missing, or has it been painted over?
On my '90 parts truck the sticker has peeled off but it also has a metal tag
screwed to the firewall, in the engine compartment, up near the hood hinge.
Neither one of my '91's have the metal tag screwed on there.
Is the metal tag screwed to it some other spot after '90?
I found a build-sheet under the rear carpet on the '91 Bronco.
Haven't looked or found a build-sheet for my other '91.
Read here where guys got build-sheets from Ford, try that instead? ;)
More and better information IMO. :)
The door sticker is not available. If you can find you build sheet, that would be more helpfull anyway. Some times they are put in the seats between the springs and cushion, under the rear carpet. I'm sure they have been found other places as well
Thanks for all the answers guys. I have read of guys gettting info from ford, but according to the post I've read, the info more often than not contains errors. I wonder how that can happen?
Anyway, I have read posts now and then of guys finding build sheets in their trucks. I will have to scour my Bronco for one. If it's under the rear carpet, it won't be in my hands tonight...I have to get the rear window & tailgate down first.
Jerm...I had already confirmed that it was original paint, but took look so as not to look stupid later and there is the evidence of the glue still there, but no sticker.
Well, since the truck is getting stripped down, I will find things out as I go along I guess.
I was really hoping to be able to reinstall one on the jamb, but oh well.
Thanks again for all the replies.

People have had 20 years to swap auto hubs to manual, swap motors, transmissions, axles, trim, rear windows, paint color, seats, headliners, suspension, gears, and in some cases, entire cabs/beds.
I know this is a little old thread, but I just ordered the sticker with info along with a Marti Report on my 78 F150. He can do them on cars and trucks built up through 1979. I've gotten them on my Mustang, Maverick and Comet. - Matt

Sorry, I've been away for a while. Don't know for sure on the 79, but my 78 does have the tag and sticker. I got my report and door data tag. I've inquired about getting the sticker made. They made one for my 70 Mustang before. I'll let everyone know what he says.
