Unhappy problems

put a 87 ford aod in my 68 and put a new b&m 2400 stall and did not hook up aod linkage but car wont shift pass 2 please help dont no much bout aods

Why would you do that?

The TV linkage or cable on an AOD is critical to performance and trans life.

That linkage/cable needs to be installed and properly adjusted before you drive it again, or you risk losing the trans.

No linkage or cable? Lokar sells that item, google search for it.

You probably need a new direct clutch. Without the linkage the trans runs at minimum pressure. The direct clutch might be able to survive one shift at minimum pressure, but not two. It is almost certainly toast.
