... to get this look without suspension work? (Space between wheel and fender virtually nothing)

Well...depends on how much weight you want to roll around with or how big a wheel you want to put in there.

Those look like 24s on stock 2WD suspension and that's one heavy son-of-a-gun.

Weight is not an issue as this truck is used sparingly for family vacations or to buy things that dont fit in our sedan...
