Im no mechanic

But my 99 expy has a fuseable link on the positive battery cable maybe check that out they can sometimes be bad and you cant tell by looking at it might need a test light or multimeter.

Did you test the main fuses to make sure they are good?

i am willing to bet its the fusable link or the terminal on the + on the starter is coroded , my 99 expy did the same thing and it was the terminal then a week later the fusable link blew ( its a lil hard to test the fusable link ) if you use a test light all it takes is a lil strand of wire to still be conected and itll set off the test light , and same goes for a resistance test it will show resistance throwing you off ( mine did ) thats why it took so long to fix the issue

wich silenoid ? theres 2 the one under the hood and the one on the starter , take a set of jumper cables and put one on the + of the battery and the other side on the + of the starter and with your key in the on position jump the silenoid under the hood with a screw driver ( it should crank and fire ) if it dont crank id take your starter out and go get it tested , also the + terminal conector on the starter ( the one that conects the main power to the + on the starter ) those conectors get corroded pretty bad , i just had to redo mine not that long ago do to a no start issue , hope i helped , i know i lost some hair wen i had a issue like this with my truck

the solenoid o n the fire wall is the one i jumped power to, it is the one the + batt power connects to and from there to the power dist box on the drivers side inner fender well.

here is what i am stumped on.........., the battrey terminal and wire with the fusible links were corroded badly so i changed it and now no power to most of the vehicle, but here is the weird thing the Power door locks work and the power seats too. but no interior lights and the speedo gauge and tach are pegged and i got the battrey disconnected now and stgill guages are pegged??????????????

take jumper cables to the pos of the battery to the pos of the starter and try to start it ( your guages should go back to normal once the truck starts ) and if it starts you know thats ware your issue is

Okay well you got me thinking , I went and bought a new set of battrey terminals and a new + battrey cable ( 4ga ) and took out the fusible links, replaced the battrey itself and it started first try, and it works great, but i still have a misfire somewhere, i suspect a bad COP i have replaced 1 so far and it ran good for 6 months., but when that one went bad it threw a CEL . this time no CEL but the miss is there. first it was occasional, then it progressively got worse, now it is really noticable. and the drivers window will not go back up.( the window is irrelivent i am sure ) but everything else works fine the other windows and the video system and everything electrical. i just need to find the misfire and all will be good.

thanks for your help.

if you have any information on misfires please enlighten me.
