I have an 05 f-250 with the 6.0 w/ a 4" mbrp straight turbo back exhaust and I am looking at purchasing the platinum juice with attitude by edge. Who is using this and what are your opionions/exsperiences? Also what would be any good competitors both preformance and cost wise. Thank you so much!
Do a search on here and read for hours. The only two recommended programmers for the 6.0 are the SCT and Spartan Phalanx. I just purchased a Phalanx and hope to have it installed in the next week. The main problem with the edge products is they don't program the tranny and are known to tear up transmissions. My .02
Welcome to FTE stattonmw Glad to have you on board.
The majority here use Super Chips Custom Tuning (SCT) with good results. A good idea is to head stud your engine with any product that increases cylinder pressures.
Okay so I did some research on the edge and the platinum version seems to have many qualities all the other programmers have including shift points as well as shift firmness and transmission slip protection... After going through this I feel like all you guys are saying is that the sct will at best just save your transmission. So, why the sct and where would I even begin to look at buying one since I know that they only come with 3 basic tunes and who is to say who a good tuner or place to buy it from would be. Also I am assuming with this option it would be best to buy gauges at the same time. I already have a 4" mbrp turbo back and afe intake.
yes, I have... in fact I dont think anyone has even read my previous post. Non the less I guess I will have to find other means of resources to figure out the answer to my questions. thanks for all the help.

You really do have a lot of answers to your posts already. Not sure why you are feeling ignored.
Sure, no one has mentioned where to get the SCT yet, but Forums are for discussion. Be patient. Your wording makes it sound like you are still not sure.
You can buy the SCT practically anywhere. The reason to buy the SCT is for CUSTOM tuning, not the canned tuning. The main folks that offer "well written" custom tuning are Eric at Innovative Diesel and Matt at SPARTAN. They sell the tuners also. Some people like Elitie Diesel.
Matt at SPARTAN developed custom programmimg on a mini-computer, LNUX platform - this is the DashDaq. This was already mentioned in post 3. This is not only a programmer, but a gauge system also (except for EGT and Fuel pressure). this might save money overall when a person is planning on gauges and a tuner (which is wise)
I realize you also want cost information - probably the best thing to do is decide on what you want first, then look for the best cost. I have not bought or used tuners, so I have not kept up w/ costs.
I will say, with any tuner, you should be willing and financially able to have ARP head studs installed in your engine to replace the weak factory head bolts (that is ... assuming you would get upset at a future head gasket leak). Hopefully this sound advice (that you did not ask for) will not get you perturbed.

I'm not familiar with the Spartan tuners, however isn't the DashDAQ from Drew Technologies just a monitoring device that also does datalogging & CEL diagnostics?
