bismic, we got the sensor all pluged in and thought we were going to be golden and took it for a test drive and it still does it but the studder is faster now not so define. When we took the old sensor out it had oil on and in the little hole is that normal? What else could we do?
Did you replace the harness pig tail?If not try cleaning it out.If you un plug the ICP and IPR you can get the harness out about as far as the degas bottle.
It definitely matters on how it was wired. I will check to see if I have anything on a "color change", but I didn't think so. Is there any way for you to verify that the different colored wires went to the same location on the connector (old and new connector had the same position for the various colored wires)?
The first thing I would do would be to unplug it again and make sure that it ran well. If so, it is in the wiring.
If you look at the male end and the wires come out the back the top left one would be black and white and the top right would be gray and red and the bottom would be green and blue(that would be going into the truck). It was the second harness that had been put on it we had to cut some heat shrenk off. The new harness was blue with a purple strip I think and all three wire were the same
Any updates? I really believe there was a problem w/ the wiring (from what you have described). I could only find these pics:

Also - did you get the correct sensor and harness? They are different, but that should be explained in the Tech Folder link.
Great Pics but none of them show witch wire goes to what part of the sensor, I also called ford and gave them the two part numbers that I had for the sensor and the harness and they said that they go to the 03 that we are working on. We will try to unplug it tomorrow
If you unplug it and it smooths out I will go have a look at the wires on my truck.
Brickie that would be awsome, I talked about the wire color above not sure if yours would be the same but atleast we would know if we have the wires right Ford did it last time so I would think they did it right
If you lay the connector on the table head down wires up with the wires oriented as a t,the bottom of the t is green the cross of the t has black on the left and red on the right.I would love to take the boots the engineer that put that sensor back there.

I believe that is the way we got it pluged in from what you say and from that picture we will try to unplug it and see what happanes we'er about to say F it and leave it unpluged what would that do? And is the oil that came off the old one normal? Or is there more of a problem
