I want to see a picture of the plugs unplugged from the RKE so I can tell if mine has the right plugs or not. It has two plugs that are capped of with ford caps and then held away but they fold out to be right where it would have been located.
Rich if you want to take a look at mine you can cuz I have the keyless entry box in my truck but don't know if it works yet. I am goin to buy a remote and try to program it. Let me know if you want to take a look at it sometime.
I'm sure there is somebody on your way home with the truck that might help with that.
Well if there is such a guy I wish he'd speak up
Ryan- never trust anyone from Moscow, ID!
Neal- I thought I'd be smart and search for something instead of just starting a new post, don't want you all thinkin I'm a newb or something.
Chicagodragon I was wondering the same thing because I have the keyless entry box but it tried the key thing and nothing happened? Does this mean my Keyless entry box is no good or is there another way of finding out if it is good or bad? Don't know if it means anything but my Theft lite still flashes when ever the door is open and truck is not on.
i found out that on my truck there is a 2pin connector that needs to be jumped out with the key on. the key cycle thing dont work. my keyless entry works now, got a remote off ebay for 15 bucks
I didn't see it until later,go to the first page of this thread, and there is a pic with the connector circled. Turn key on then jump it out, the jumper needs to stay connected for programming. But at least it will tell you if the box is good, cause the locks will cycle
Well I took the risk... bought an RKE module on Ebay. Once it gets here I'll get to looking to see if I have the wiring needed to hook it up. I bought the RKE module and a fob (different sellers) all for under $50.
