50 bucks, I had to cut the cat out, because they "can't", it is 3.5" downpipe and 3.5" ALL THE WAY OUT!!! Sounds GREAT, took our 5th wheel down to Camp Pendleton Friday, 12.9 mpg towing, and I weigh 16,500 going down the road!!! Then on the way back, nothing like rolling next to a rice burner in stop and go, and then just hammering it!! I LOVE watching them roll up their windows so you can't hear the music after that!!
I guess I can take my truck to any muffler shop and ask for straight 4 inch piping?
If you go into your exhaust shop and tell them you want 4" pipe to delete your Cat and Muffler, they will most likely send you out the door with a swift kick. They don't want anything to do with it, which is understandable as the feds / state would probably slap a nasty fine on them if they found out they did or helped you do something so illegal.
However if you need the 4" pipe for a blower you are designing for your shop woodstove , I am sure they would be happy to set you up nicely.
my local shop has no problem with exhaust 'modifications' just bring cash and the rest is history, I am fixing to have my exhaust replaced with 4" from the dp all the way to the rear of the truck, it was hard to find a shop that actually has the dies to bend 4", but I also realize that most places are hesitant about such work, which one of the benefits of living in a moderately rural area I love the side pipe but my passengers in the back seat aren't always as enthusiastic about it
better yet if you have a parts list brown that would be great. if you can make one up pm me please. thatnks alot. and thanks for any other info
Well the setup I have probably wouldn't work on yours because of the trasfer case on yours... Mine goes from the downpipe, into a 3" in/dual 3" out splitter, and the driver side goes into a 45* bend under the driveshaft and back at the 45* angle all the way out to the bed.
That's the best way I could find to get it outside the frame before the fuel tank. Right where the frame kinda bends up a little on both sides so I wouldn't have clearance issues.
