Juice and DP

Ok,, here is the discussion with young son.

He has 6.0, mine is 7.3. He wants us to install a Juice tuner vs Dp.

I don't know anything about either other than what the adds claim.

Any suggestions, experience or watchouts.?

He wants power and reliability + tow ability

I want reliability / fuel + tow. (I'll race my corvette not my truck) I am looking for 300000 on my truck not how fast it will go or accelerate

Any help? Thanks vettdvr

On his 6.0 the juice might be the way to go. They have the ability to go shift on the fly finally, where as DP I don't think can with the 6.0's yet. AS far as your 7.3, there is no comparison, the DP is THE way to go. It will give you more power and be much easier on the transmission than the Edge juice. It's custom tuning for your truck, the Edge is not.

Search Edge tuner on this forum and look at what people who have tried Edge/ Superchips/ Banks/ etc. have to say when they make the switch. They ALL like the DP waaaay better.

Also for the 6.0, the SCT seems to be tuner to look into.

I agree with Jason on the 7.3. You dont want an off the shelf unit. Dont forget there are others out there ( PHP, or TW ) but you would do your self well with the DP..

Forget Edge for both trucks.

If I had a 6.0L, I'd be running an SCT.

On my 7.3L, I run DP.

I would get the SCT tuned by DP Tuner for the 6.0...

I've heard the same from a few 6.0 owners.
Its not shift on the fly, but the SCT with custom tunes offers the best power.
