I bought an 86 F250 that has minor fire damage in engine compartment. It has a 351W with a Holley/Motocraft 4 bbl. I'm having the carb rebuilt and will have to have new plug wires and will replace dist cap as a precaution. Where is the best place to find a diagram of vacuum and any other hoses. Carb rebuilder said an external plastic cam and internal diaphram were the only damage he saw. Plug wires are mostly gone and the distributor cap is discolored. If I can't make it work I'll use the bottom half of the engine for my other project truck. Thanks for any help!
We have a 87 F250 4X4 (8800lb) with the same engine (more or less); the pollution stuff went the way of the do-do a few years ago but I can send you a photo of the under-hood sticker over the weekend?
Thanks for the diagram. Got a new problem. The carburetor to cannister vent line(from the front of the carb to the carbon cannister) took a lot of heat and basically melted. I've been to the parts houses but they can't get this. Is is two short approx 1/2 in hoses with a check valve in the middle. Where can a get a new one? Thanks.
