I think i might have figured it out... I didnt hook the ground cable to the intake from the truck back up. There is no ground wire going to the motor from the body. Problem? I would think so. That would explain all electrical issues correct? I looked at the Edelbrock jets and rods chart and found what jets i need to run, im gonna make sure ive got the correct jet/rod/spring setup for my motor setup. I also bought an aircleaner riser so i can put it back on. 
Sometimes it helps to look at a friends truck that RUNS with the same setup. haha
