My 450 now has 7000 miles and best ever on the computer is 14.0 driving on cruise at 62 mph. Mostly gets 12.5-13.2 without babying it. No doubt if the engine goes over 21-2200 rpms, the mileage starts dropping. Trailer I have weighs 17080, got 9.1 overall on trip to Durango last month--entire setup weighs in a 27000+
The 6.4 seems to be a very different engine than the 6.0 I had--almost no downshifting, just pulls the trailer very well. One thing I have a problem with--can't force a downshift unless speed has dropped 8-10mph, sometimes more. Kinda hurts climbing steep, long grades. Once downshift occurs, can always gain speed back. Not sure if this is normal with the 6.4 or I have a programming problem. AND Ford needs to give us a way to use
4th (Drive) and lock it in.

I'm not claiming there is anything wrong with your truck or that mine is perfect. I just don't get how things can be so different. Maybe your 4.10 vs. my 3.73?

im still getting 5.9 to 6.7 towing whether going 60-75...

i think there is a problem with my truck as the mileage is horrible....
the 4.10 gears are to compensate for the tires im running and my speedo is only 1 mph off at 80...(gps verified)

when the truck was new and before the new flash and new dpf i would get 8-9 towing and im around 21000 # now....
(current trip towing my towhauler empty)

i towed my rock crawler on a car hauler from vegas to moab (6500) at 70 mph with the cruise on and avg 10 mpg (prior to the reflash and dpf)

im also now regen every 30-50 miles with the trailer connected...

im stumped and my service guy is also.....
any one have any ideas?

no codes and no driveabilty concerns...this is my third diesel truck
