What's with the "real job" remark? I had a full-time "real job" for 49 years (since the age of 16) including a 4-year enlistment in the U.S. Navy (66-70). I am now retired and I EARNED it and I DESERVE it. I also have my own business which I can work at or not, depending on what I want to buy for my slicks.

Yes,I was very aggravated at the fact that they told me it would be another 3 weeks,on top of the already 3-weeks for an "in-stock" part. Wouldn`t you be a lil aggravated??

I came to you guys because I assumed some of you may have bought them in the past, and had the much-needed input I was looking for,but instead I get told that I was ordering people around like they were my servants or employees??

And now,I have these junk-*** mounts from BOTP. They look like something a highschool freshman made in shop class, and fit even worse. I got the one side done last night and had to modify every single aspect of the mount to get it to fit right. And that was the one that was welded together square, the other one I am going to have to grind out the welds and weld back together for sure, before I can even attempt to fit it up to the body.

They didn`t come with directions that said that I would have to modify as needed.

If that`s acceptable for all of you guys, then I dunno what to say.

Let me add that you're also not bright. Most people on here who have half a brain figured out how to put their city & state (it goes under "Location," duh!).

And as a (relatively) young guy, it's embarrassing to me that someone might lump us together. You're just plain rude. Grow up, dude!

You know FoMoCoPower, it seems clear that you're a pattern offender. I even found this post of yours from two years ago. You posted a question, then 3 days later came back with "Guess I`m on the wrong site??"

Just kiss off and we'll all be much happier.

cab mounts

When replacing parts such as cab mounts the metal one especialy there is always some tweeking needed to get them to fit right. I bought some used ones to put in my 66. They came with the floors still atatched and since i was using them also i drilled some pilot holes in them so i could get them back into place after i separated them from the floor so i could sand blast and prime the backside. Even with all the carefull steps i took to keep everything lined up i still ended up tweeking them just a bit to get the fit i needed. I did have aftermarket repros that i got from carolina classics, the best reproduced cab mounts i have seen. I had them in with an aftermarket floor pan but the cheep floor pan didnt hold up to the weight of the cab and that why i cut out the after market and went with used. When it comes to geting cab parts carolina classics is the place you want to get your parts from. Not to put anyother parts supplyers down but carolina has done there homework , I also like dennis carpenter for parts as well. Just keep looking if you dont like what one company sends try another.
