I saw a picture of someone's truck that had a stock grill but it was completely chrome.

Just a guess but maybe they painted gray areas with "chrome" spray paint???

Hmm.. thinking of trying it on mine. I painted over the faded chrome on mine with white, but it's coming off in places. Might strip it all down and use some of that high-adhesion clear primer and try the chrome paint. Can't mess it up more than it is now!

They sell aftermarket grills that are all chrome. I have seen them on several trucks. It actually looks pretty good. Plenty of bling.

Any idea who sells them? I've never seen any like it except for one picture I saw on here somewhere.

IIRC you can take out the grey paint with a remover, and some has the chrome underpaint and others not, so you should make a test first. good luck.

I think a all chrome grill with some new actually clear headlights and clear corner and signal lights would look awesome!

I started to strip the gray paint off of my grill with some enamel reducer. It looks pretty good so far. I will get pictures when done.

I just painted the grey area about a month ago. I used a flat black satin paint that really turned out super. It gives definition to the grill area especially after I painted the tranny cooler and surrounding areas with the same black satin paint.

My grill chrome was fading and wearing off already, that's why I painted it white. Now the white is coming off too cause I didn't prep it very well.
So if my experiments with my old grill don't work out I won't feel bad about buying a new one.
