So you think those shortys will fit an 08 f-250 5.4L? I looked at my engine today and I'm not sure if I want to tackle this project. Is it all that hard replacing headers on a f-250?
trust me they are a pain a real pain but i got mine i would think long and hard i did have 2 studs break that had to be drilled out and helicoils put in but i have machinest back ground but it is a pain
Your best bet is to cut the nuts off the studs, then you can CAREFULLY use a stud puller to remove them, praying they don't break. Then again, if the truck is an '08 I wouldn't worry about the studs breaking.

I see that you post up information on the new Bully Dog GT tuner in EVERY thread that you've participated in since you joined the forum... why?
Maybe he's a spammer paid by BullyDog?? In any light, if it is to be considered advertising, you need to contact the forum owners and pay to advertise like everyone else.
Either way, I doubt it will offer the gains that a custom written tune and an SCT from 5 Star Tuning will offer.
How much is a custom tune from Mike? Cause I hooked up my SCT and it is still throwing the code p0506 which is that big of a deal at least according to SCT techs. Can mike have this fixed and maybe give me more tq and hp?
10 HP / 15 TQ - Short Tube Headers
20 HP / 30 TQ - Long Tube Headers
Maybe that is peak numbers but I wonder between the 1500-3500 rpm range there would be a big difference of tq. If not I don't see it being worth the time and money.
I don't know what it would do on one of these trucks, but when I put a set of headers on an old '76 cheby 350 it was the best improvement I made in terms of more horse power a big difference.

These are definitey "peak" estimates... I'm going to be installing 40" tires later this year so my 5.4L engine will need all the help it can get!

I agree! I also plan to do some head work and install cams later on so the headers, hi-flow cats, and Magnaflow exhaust will add to the performance gains.
