Pretty basic question... wasnt sure if there were much a difference between mudflaps out there. Would like one contoured to fit the truck (09 F350) but also one thing I would like is the bushwacker pocket flares and not sure if they would interfere with each other. Just trying to keep the dirt and salt spary off the new truck since I plan on keeping it till it dies.
One thing I have heard is the wheel 'openings' are larger on the 08-09 than prior. Is this just the front? I thought the bed itself was pretty much the same all the way back. Would contoured flaps designed for earlier SD fit?
With the bushwacker pocket flares, its one or the other. They dont work with the contoured mud flaps but are real effective keeping road grime off the vehicle by themselves with the additional couple of inches coverage. Good luck with the new ride.
Thanks guys, yeah I figured I couldnt do both. Didnt realize though that the pocket flares offer some extra protection in an of themselves. Only thing if I put the pocket flares on now it might look kinda goofy with the conti 245's!
The Duraflaps will work with any of the Bushwacker fender flares. The predrilled use the same mounting holes as the fender flares, so no additional drilling or modification need to take place.
They don't need to be specific. I just got some big flaps from ebay and screwed them to the well with fenderwashers. (fender washers doing what they do best).
