69 engine rewire
At one point in my 69 f100 life the battery got hooked up backwards and fried the all the wiring for the engine and alternator. Im trying to rewire it now and have a wiring diagram to go off of but all it shows is were the wiring goes and what color the wires are but not the gauge of the wire used. Im new to automotive wiring and Im sure this might be a simple question but how do I find what gauge of wiring I need for what? Ive looked on the internet and found the charts to do the calculations yourself where you measure distance and amps and plot it to find the gauge of wire you need but isn't there a diagram that shows you what gauge wire they used at the factory so I don't have to do all the calculations? Its not a new build just want to rewire it so it will run.
