i just picked up a 50 merc f68.someone had a complete hub to hub with springs for sale here in town,i figured this would be a good way to change to a 5on 5 1/2 bolt pattern.i paid $150.00for it.took me awhile to figure out all i had to do was switch the hubs from one axle to the other.had i found this forum 2 weeks sooner i for sure would have looked into a kit like this for a $100.00 more (plus exchange rate and shipping)i could have had disc brakes up front.i thought they cost a lot more than this.i cant wait to see more replies to this.thanks for this post,i will be keeping a eye on this for sure
roy
p.s. i forgot to mention the new axle was off a 53 f100.

Reason: missed something
im thinking this is for sure a plan for the soon to be list.money is pretty slim right now .first i need to get it running and on the road.for how the 1/2 ton drums will have to do,at least i got rid of 1/2 my widow makers and that is a good start, for me anyway
I've got that kit on my 55, been driving around for a week or so on them and it stops nice
I'm sure I know the answer to this question, but did you replace the master cylinder when you installed this? What did you go to? Firewall or below floor?
