The beloved E4OD...
'94 F250 4x4. Trans lost all forward gears last march, and I had it rebuilt. It worked fine upon re-installation, for about 1 month. From then on, it has acted just like the torque converter is locking up when the gear selector is in reverse or "1" (not "D" but stopped and in first gear). If I put it in Reverse, and don't jump right on the gas, it will "lock up(?)" and stall. Once the vehicle has exceede 10 mph, it will "unlock(?)" and operate normally, untill I come almost to a stop again, and then it will try to kill the engine again.
Anyone have some ideas?
BTW I have changed all the fluid several times. each time I change it, it opetates normally for about a day.(?!)

Thanks for the reply. If I were to simply unplug the harness going into the Trans, would that render the TCC usless? We only operate the truck at low speeds, mostly off road (ski area) so torque converter operation is not nessecary.
