E4OD no reverse

E4OD no reverse
Just picked up a 96 F150 2 wd E4OD. The truck runs great and drives in all forward gears. Problem is no reverse. It also starts in gear but only when I jump the solenoid under the hood. Truck also wants to drive when shifted to neutral and seems to be locked up when in reverse. Any suggestions would be appreciated; I don't have any info about this truck's history. Trying to fix it up for my daughter.

I tried that already and it seems to hit each spot correctly. I was wondering how much this may have to do with the Manual Lever Position Sensor located on the side of the tranny. I know the E4OD is electronically controlled and gets most of its commands thru this sensor, but thats about all I know. Are there any tests I can do on this sensor or elsewhere before I give in and let the tranny shop have it? Thanks, DanD
