2003 EB quarter window switch

I have a 2003 Expedition EB 5.4L with a quarter window switch that was intermittent and has now stopped working completely. I have just replaced the master window switch cluster in the driver's door to resolve similar door window issues and would now like to replace the quarter window switch in the overhead console. I have a service manual but have not been able to locate directions for accessing the quarter window switch. Could any of you tell me how to disassemble the overhead console for access to the switches? (The sunroof switch next to it is working properly). Also, should the overhead console switches be backlit when the lights are turned on? All of the door window switches are but not the overhead console switches and I do not know if this is by design. I bought the vehicle new and do not ever remember them being backlit.

I believe you just pull that pod off that houses the switches and the courtesy lights. I think I recall someone here saying it was held in by spring clips. Probably best for someone to tell you it is definitely that way before you hang on it. The switches are back lit.
