I have one! I got it from a friend 21 years ago who pulled it out of his Ford pick up before he sold it, he bought the truck from the original owner who was the owner of the Ford dealership who kept the truck on his "play" farm upstate NY.

I'm looking to sell it and would rather it go to someone who would put it back to use in a Ford truck. It has hardly any use. I can email pics.

When I got it, it didn't start so I called Onan to inquire about it. The guy offered me $500 sight unseen for it D O A, I figured running it must be worth more so I had a local mower shop get it running. All they did was clean up the points and it ran like a champ.
It's been sitting in my shed, having just moved I discovered it again. Like I said, it should be back in a ford than back in storage. I'd take $500 for it. I used to have the mount but it's long gone, would be easy enough to weld something up to re install it under a hood again. I have it on (north) new jersey craigslist & have four pics posted.

110 volt, 20.8 amps, 2500 watts. It ties into the vehicle gas line & vehicle battery, it has electric start! How cool is that? You could easily wire a remote starter switch & outlet to your dash or anywhere else on the truck.

Back when these were installed circa 1970 they were around a $500 obtion, in todays dollars that's around a $5,000 dollars. That was alot of money to dole out then.

 

You shouldn't have any problem getting $400-$600 for it on ebay, someone on the 67-72 forum may be interested as well.
