Hey CTC, I don't know what you ended up doing or where you are located. I can offer you my '06 XLT with 33,000 original miles at $16,000 and I will deliver it to you. I have six other trucks and this one is one too many (the only one I owe money on). So let me know if you have an interest. It is dark grey with light interior, cloth, kept undre canvas seat covers, no smoking, no wrecks, single CD player, running boards, rear a/c. Pretty much plain vanilla. Oh, yeah, it has the towing package, too.
Offer is open to the rest of you guys too if you are so inclinded.
BTW, I love vehicle. It is my second Exped. my first Exped was a new 1998. The improvements found in the 2006 such IRS, more power, smaller profile make this one fine car. The job I thought was mine that involved driving my own car over lots of rural miles failed to materialize so this is more car than I need for my rural lifestyle.
OK. So as not be a completely self serving SOB, if the Exped does sell on to someone with this website, I will make a generous but reasonable donation to this website. That is only fair.

Ok, so it will have 35,000 miles on it when it is delivered unless he wants it carried. I will have to ask the wife about that. She does all the heavy lifting in this household.
Seriously, I also have a 16 foor car carrer trailer and an assortment of tow vehicles. I desperately need a vacation. I used to live in VA and have a few friends there. So, the offer stands.
Ok. I am sorry to report that if the buyer lives in HI or Alaska no can do. Puerto Rico is a definite yes. Just save the first salsa for me.

Well dang it all, if you need to get away that bad then drive that rig up here just to show it off.
i believe the 5.4L also had an issue with broken spark plugs during removal. i believe it affected 04-06, might want to check exactly what year that was fixed.

Are you refering to Ford's unique spark-plug eject feature wherein plugs would spontaneously launch themselves from the two threads retaining them, shattering the ignition coils above them and generally ruining the owner's day?
Or, is are you referring to another spark plug issue?
I believe the first problem was solved in the '04 model year when Ford boldly returned to seven threads tapped into the head to secure the spark plug's place in combustion.
