Okay, I've asked this question in other posts I started and yet I don't get an answer. Where is the throttle position switch on the pedal assembly? Is this something inside the truck or under the hood?
Also how would you know if it's bad? I'm asking this because it goes along with another post I titled Punch it! I'm still having the same issues with the truck lagging power at take off. So, it's been mentioned before that it may be the throttle position switch. How hard is it to change one of these and where is it and what does it look like?
Its on the pedal under the dash. IIRC you test it by unplugging it and testing the voltage... with no pressure on the go pedal it should be 0, with the pedal full to the floor it should be 4.7V or so. I'll see if I can find a thread with pics and test procedures.
It is right on the pedal. There are only two things on it. One is the throttle position sensor and the other is the valet switch. From what I have read if the throttle postion sensor goes out, it just doesn't work. That is what happened with mine. Nothing worked at all just idled on the road...
There are two of the little bolts holding it in there..
