not that this question has any bearing on your problem, but where was your truck assembled?
Somewhere in Ontario. I meet with the dealership tomorrow to see what they can do for me. As mentioned above I might get them to put some fender flares. So no one has problems with their trucks being the sme as mine?
I just bought a 2009 F-150 4x4 crew cab and noticed once I got it home that the rear passenger tire sticks out 1.5 inches past the wheelwell. The dealer said that all the 09s are built like that. My question is all your trucks the same as mine?
Hey man, I never really looked that closely on mine, but if I really pay attention, I think it is the same as yours. Somebody else mentioned putting on some fender flares. Mine came with the flairs from the factory, and they seem to hide it really well, comparing your pictures to how mine looks in person. The tires don't stick out past the flares on any side. It might be worth looking into.
No kidding, they still assemble Ford trucks in Ontario? They use to be assembled in Oakville but that was a while ago.
Your misalignment is very obvious. Is the dealer refusing to correct the situation?
Well dealer told us to contact Ford as they did as well and the truck is made to be this way. ??? Why I asked? No reason given. If it causes more wear on this side of the truck that is my problem as they don't cover paint if it is chipped by rocks etc.
My boss has a 2009 and the tire does not stick out the same as mine does. So Ford said that this is an issue for the dealer and the dealer seems to think that the truck is fine. So I guess I take it to the next level.
Just checked mine and the rear is 1/4" each side inside the wheelwell and front 1/4" each outside wheelwell. made in Deerborn MI. so they are not all like that!!!
Ok, I measured mine, and it measures the same on both sides. Sorry, but at first I thought maybe it was a little off too, but just hidden by the flares. Mine is Dearborn built as well.
I was wondering if you would be so kind to PM some photos of your trucks. Featuring the rear passenger tire so that I can show the dealer etc. Your help is greatly appreciated!

This is yet another reason why I'm so hesitant to buy another FORD. Ford is unwilling to admit anything is ever wrong with their trucks.
I spent way too much time at Ford service departments with brand New Ford's only to have the Service writer tell me" That's the way it's supposed to be" or "it's normal" or " There's nothing wrong with it" Or the famous most used " we couldn't get it to make that noise or problem when we drove it"
It looks like Ford service or lack of is still the same as I experienced it in the past.
In this case, Ford isn't denying the owner warranty coverage. The owner is caught in a circle between Ford and the dealer. Still, this isn't right. Nonetheless, the owner is working his way to forcing the dealer to state the box is off alignment and then, the fix can be made. But, I agree that service side of the ownership equation is sorely behind the other manufacturer's reputations.
To the OP, I'll try to snap a couple of pics this afternoon. Can you be more detailed on what must be in the picture(s)?

If you look at my photos and try to match them if you can. The photos looking back from the cab were taken from the edge of the rear door and the same location on the otherside. Thanks for your help! Maybe a side photo as well if you don't mind. Thanks
I sure don't think that I should have to settle for this when there are other trucks out there, not like mine.

I just looked at mine and they are 14" from the bed to the outer edige of the tire. I also have the gaurds, so it would be hard to tell and mine was built in Deerborn.
