Hi all, a newbie to the forum but not to owning a Ford truck. I had an 06 F150 and now an 09 FX4 SCREW. I want to change the exhaust to a Corsa Sport System. The only exhaust systems that I see out there are the AFE, Magnaflow, Gibson and Borla that say they are engineered for the 2009 F150. My question is will a 2008 exhaust sytem match up to the 2009 truck? Next question is if this is not possible what is everyone's opinion on Borla?
Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the new truck. It is my understanding that the systems for 08's are different than the ones for an '09. Remember the '09 is 6 inches longer than the previous model, and I think that is why the older systems won't fit.
Hopefully somebody who has installed a new exhaust system in their truck will chime in to either confirm this or prove otherwise.
makes sense... My 06 was a supercab so i did forget that the new screw was 6 inches longer... still hoping to get input from anyone who has exhausts on their new trucks. Thanks to all.
you may be dead set on getting a particular brand's system, but i would recommend going to you local muffler shop, they probably have the same muffler brand you are looking for and will make the rest of the system custom to your specific application. I have a 2010 stx and flowmaster wanted over $700 for their bolt-on kit. I went to a local shop and got the flowmaster 50 series muffler and ss tips with custom piping for $360 including tax.
If you are dead set on waisting your money on an aftermarket exhaust for your truck, Borla is a great system... And you'll pay for it. don't forget MBRP too... about half the price and rugged. Pretty much anything BUT Slow master... YUCK!
Custom is fine if you can find a shop that uses ss pipe and has a manderal bender, good luck with that.
You're right. I talked to MIdas one day (I know a complete rip off, but I figured why not) and they wanted over a grand just for a SS setup from the cats back.
I told the guy that's ridiculous and told him good luck lol
I just purchased a 29 foot travel trailer to be pulled with my 09 xlt crew 5.4 4*4.My question is are the 20 inch pirellis good for towing,of course the saleman told me they were fine. The trailer weighs 6500lbs.Thanks

Even though it's a bit of the wrong thread, if you tow with it and don't like it, upgrade to set of E-range tires (they'll be stiffer and you'll feel it when unloaded a little bit, but it'll help tremendously with stability).
The Pirellis will do the job, but something can do the job better.
