I have a '95 f250 Heavy Duty with a C6 auto that I am worried may be starting to slip. I have read on some of these posts that without a lock up torque converter, which I didn't realize these don't have, the transmission may slip more uphill towing. I don't claim to have an much knowledge about the inner workings of automatic transmissions but I just know that it doesn't feel like it grabs as solidly as my v8 Grand Marquis, particularly when I am in the f250 at cruising speed going up hill. I just want to know what I should be looking for before I take it somewhere to get checked out.
I haven't had the truck for a long time so I don't know what it felt like originally, but it wasn't expensive so I wasn't worried.
