Its been leaking slowly for a while! Better to replace it now, than have it blow out going up to the cabin this summer!! Just wondering if places like NAPA sells them?
A few months ago, a guy at Powerstrokeshop.com told me the over flow tanks are getting hard to find. A lot of broken mounting tabs. Didn't mention seam leaks. Makes sense I guess. Our trucks are getting older, the temps under the hood are high. Ever grab the tools mounted under there after driving around at full operating temp? He said it would be a good idea to find an extra and hold on to it.
I've already replaced mine twice due to a leak just above the seam in the front below the pressure cap. Both times it leaked from the same spot. I bought the degas bottles from Ford. Tried other sources, but no luck. Found only ones for cars. The last one has been holding up good, so far. It had a different number molded into it.
