Want new trans

Hey everyone,
I have just regained possession of the first truck I drove. It is a '78 F-150 with the 351M in it. I am very interested in swapping out the old automatic transmission and putting in a manual. I was wondering how hard this would be to do. Any advice is appreciated.

I would suggest you hit a boneyard and pick up the trans you want, and while you are there get everything that is connected to it, except the engine of course. Also buy a new clutch.
