6.0 psd starting probs

hey guys my neighbor has a 06 250 6.0. the issue is if the truck hasnt been ran in a day or so he has to crank it longer to get it started but once it runs for awhile it cranks right up. and he states it never did that before till recently, so what could it be? thanks

Sounds like air getting in fuel system. possibly a bad seal on a fuel filter.

It could also be injector stiction developing. The most recent upgrades to the processors will help that.

What kind of oil does he use? Is it changed regularly? Does he idle a lot?
