It is not a sensor, these are classic symptoms of a HPOP problem. There is a leak in the HPOP system (ie check valve, broken fitting at the HPOP. Unless you have the proper equipment to test the HPOP system completely then take it to your favorite 6.0 tech.

Depending on when the truck was first sold & put into service by FMC you may still be covered under the 5yr/100k engine warranty.

There is nothing "Quick" about this process. See 6.0 bible link in your other thread.

High Pressure Oil Pump system. The fuel injectors are fire by high pressure oil. The HPOP system uses engine oil at a very high pressure to fire the fuel injectors, if there is a leak at a fitting or bad check valve, or bad ICP (Injection Control Pressure) sensor then the truck will not run properly. Generally when the truck runs when it is cold but will not run or start when warm it is do to a leak in the HPOP system.

Here is the link to the 6.0 Bible from the tech folder.

That would be the HPOP connection mentioned eariler in this post.
The 05's seem to be the worst at this.

Unhappy

Hello all,

Hopefully someone has idea how to fix my problem. I have an 04 F-350 6.0 w/Banks turbo. I bought it in March of 06. Everything was fine until one day it wouldn't start, cranked, but wouldn't start. A couple days later, I tried just to see, and it started right up. A few months later, it did it again. This time it wouldn't start the next time I tried, so I changed the cam sensor. It started right up and was fine for a couple months again. When it does start, it starts all day. It's at least only done it from home. This summer I was going on a camping trip and didn't want to get stranded so I took it to the dealer to check out. They of course blamed it on the Banks system. They gave me three options: take it to Banks to check their system, unhook it and bring it back to check at the dealer, or change the cam sensor for $1,000. It's a $35 part that took me 10 minutes to change the first time. So, I took it to Banks. Their system was ok. They unhooked it. I took it back to the dealer, whom again, couldn't find anything wrong with it. My trip went fine, but on 11/2 it did it again. This was about the 8th time, and I'm really frusterated at this point. Everyone has ideas what it might be, but know one knows. I found an RV forum with one other person with the same problem on an 06. Unfortunately, he never logged back on to say what happened, whether it was fixed, or he gave up and sold it. If anyone has had this problem or knows what to do, please help...
