im adding the typical oil pressure, water temp and voltmeter gauges to a pillar pod that i have. it will be in my f250 351. i was wondering where everyone taps into for the sending units. i want to keep my stock dash gauges as well. im using an electric sending units as well. can someone post some pics of where they added them on the block? thanks!

I guess it should be noted that using a tee fitting to install a coolant temp sender isn't usually a great idea. The sender should be immersed somewhere in the flow of the coolant. If taking the factory sender out and putting the new sender in its place isn't an option, you can usually find alternative locations in the block (or elsewhere...you gotta look around and be creative) to put the new sender in. A few years ago I added a mechanical temp gauge to a mid-'70s Ford tractor, and ended up taking the block drain petcock out to put the sender bulb in its place, as sticking the bulb in the teeny-weeny factory sender hole wasn't possible. I'm not sure what (or even if) the difference between block coolant temp and head coolant temp is, but things seem to be working out OK.

And sorry, Brad...not trying to step on your toes!
Pat
