yeah, the aliens thing kind of ruined it for me. South Park pretty much sums up how I felt about that movie.
I was raped by George Lucas and his stupid "new is better" attitude.
same with the Star Wars, when they went in and digitally "enhanced" Jabba the Hut, wtf is that all about? It looks like complete crap!!!!
while im ranting about editing old films, E.T, seriously, who gives a flying rats banana that they had some guns pointed at some kids, more kids are going to be confused by the fact that they are now holding Walkie Talkies instead of what should be a gun... come on, quit ruining the damn films and calling it a "better version"
what's next, Lion King remake without Mufasa holding Simba in the air and over the ledge because some parents relate that to what Michael Jackson did in Berlin?

Arnold the 'Govenator' (cant spell his last name so dont make me) proves this just like Ronald Regan proved it, along with the other actor president cant rember who it is... america can be a great place but it sure seems like EVERYONE is out to ruin it.... what the hell happened over the past 60 years? or has it always been this way?

the new dukes I don't really care for, Monty is amazing, don't care for a lot of adam sandlers "more serious" movies, fast and furious is amazing, I like them all, smokey totally amazing.
the only one of those that would possibly make it into my top 10 is fast and furious, don't care too much for the other stuff.
