I have put a lot of effort into the outside of the truck and the paint on the interior. I am now looking at the seat that was in the truck and its green. The truck is Springtime Yellow and the trim is white. I think according to the codes the original interior trim was beige but I couldn't bring myself to paint the trim on the inside beige. So now I am about to get the Seat Apholstered and I thinking about doing the seat a two tone yellow and white but its going to be a daily driver. I am thinking the white wont stay white for long but it sure would look nice. My Wife told me she thinks it should be Black because it would match the bedliner I am going to spray in next week. Any Ideas?

for that matter the yellow won't stay yellow either. I would do what you want and use a very heavy duty vinyl. you can always get those mr clean eraser pads. those things really are magic.
I would go with the darker colors, especially for a daily driver. As mentioned the vinyl will also allow you to slide in easier than some other options. I have a black dash pad, black bucket seats, and will be getting my sun visors covered in black vinyl soon. Have yet to decide on the headliner, but will likely go with a different color so its not overkill. Plan to tint the windows to the legal limit. Almost forgot the door trim inserts and arm rests will be black.
Personally, I think a dark brown leather look vinyl will complement the yellow nicely. Try to find pictures of the 50's era trucks and look at the color of those bench seats. It would give it a nice reto interior look and look good for many years without showing dirt and wear. Just my opinion, but ultimately it's up to you and your personal taste.
Thought I would post this so you could see what yours would look like... My truck had the seat redone in brown naugahyde heavy vinyl when I got it. One day I might get a seat redone in the original type turquoise from SMS, but for now its not bad. The white on the seats might be a problem, it gets dirty easily. Also you can see in this pic of my door panels, the white vinyl is never the same tone of white as anything else inside the truck, so it can look kind of goofy. I'm hoping the my door panels will yellow a bit to match the dash, but I don't smoke so that could take awhile. Also, about your bedliner, you can get it tinted if you want to make it match the springtime yellow exterior of the truck.

I have to say I would have never thought of brown but it does look very good. I have some thinking to do but that does throw another option in the mix. Thanks for the picture.

Brown and blue are kind of a clashing color, but brown and yellow are complementry colors and will show well. With a blue truck, blue, black or white interior work well toghter...just my opinion though.
You can have the door panels and headliner done up in the same material as the seat at most upholestery shops. I have been quoted $850 for the entire interior including headliner, kick panels, door panels and seat in Bellevue, WA.

Wow thats a great price. A neighbor of mine had a 51 Chevy interior done similar to what your talking about and it cost $2800. That guy must be starving. Could you PM me his info?

I had my seat rebuilt with green edges with off-white textured vinyl center panels. It has worked out fine for over 7 years , now. It is a daily driver. If it looks soiled I spray it with 409, use a soft scrub brush on it and dry with a towel. Finish with Armorall.
Check out this web site. They have proper Ford logo dies to imprint the seat just as the original was done. http://www.autoupholsterykits.com/ $212 for a bench seat kit.
I decided to go with a White Trim Vinyl and Where the Driver and Passenger would be setting a Tuck and Rolled yellow Vinyl. I talked with the Upholster and he is going to take the Center section out of the seat that has the Ford Emblem embaused (Looks just like the hood emblem on my truck) and dye it white and sew it into the seat just to give it a little more Nastalgic look. Should look pretty good (I hope). This weekends fun includes applying the spray in bed liner. I kind of lucked out, I know a guy that has a 66 Ford F100 and he is going to give me the Headliner out of his because he is going to have a custom interior put in his. Kind of a score, but it needs some TLC, I am going to cover it in a white Vinyl and call it done.
