Gear ??

I cant seem to find what the lowest gears I could put in my 91 f150. Whats the lowest gears ratio and what truck would i find them in?? thanks for the help!!!

Look up a gear vendor like summit racing or such since the rear axle is shared with a mustang you have alot of available gearing. You are pretty limited on factory gearing as the lowest factory gears were the 4.10s in the 8.8 and that was a rare truck to have them. You may be lucky to find 3.73s but the typical gears are the 3.55s.

i think you can go up to a 5.13 ratio with a d44 and 8.8 but if you do that be prepared to break a lot of stuff in the front end and maybe in the rear

Look for a vehicle equipment sticker on the drivers door jamb. The F150s with the 3.73 limited slip will have a axle code of B6.

they will interchange but it is better to have a shop do the work because there are precise messurments that are required to make it work right and not grenade in the axle.

yeah if you asked if they interchanged don't even think about doing the gears yourself
