f150 18" wheels

f150 18" wheels
I have a 06' F150 XLT with 18" wheels that are stock, it was purchase new with them on. So what im trying to figure out is if i can put 17" wheels on. i have been told yes and no from multiple people, with them saying my rotors might be bigger. but i think i should be able too since everybodies got atleast 2 sets of wheels either same size or different they pop on and off. If anyone could get back with me and let me know that im not hurting anything put 17s on id appriciate it

17" is the smallest you can fit
period
unless it's a super special rare wheel, the 17" rim will fit your truck without a single issue. just be careful with the backspacing and offset. the lower trim trucks come with 17" rims stock
