Need ABS help please
After installing, I made sure the alternator was working, and it was. The problem is that I have an ABS light on and the code is: Battery Pack Voltage Insufficient. I dont remember ever seeing this when I worked for the dealer, probably because I worked on engines mostly. This makes it sound like there is a battery inside the ABS module.
I was wondering if anyone has ran into this before, and what the fix for this problem is. I dont remember the "B" code # I got with it, and I think the description is close ( have worked 60 hrs this week with one more day to go).
If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.
Thank you
It was code B1676 Battery Voltage out of range
I have a 2001 F350 that had the ABS light on... Took it to a local mechanic and was told not to worry about it that it was nothing serious... He would get a programmer from his buddy and turn the light off in a week or so...
About 250 miles later my wheel bearings started howling... Went to a CarQuest store to get new ones and was told by the parts man there that the ABS light will come on when the metal shavings from the wheel bearing gather on the magnetic ABS sensor and start causing false readings...
Just an expierence I had and like I said May not be related to your problem...

Bought a new hub assembly and all better. Even came with new ABS sensor.
