No if you EGTs are 350-400 you are safe to shut it down.
Probably don't but I like the convience of having it. I wish they were cheaper or I would already have one. The price is what is actually holding me back right now. I think I am going to use it as a Christmas idea.
They are very nice when towing. I drive from Ca to Texas down the 10 thru Arizona New Mexico, West Texas and back quite a bit in the summer time, and when you stop at a rest stop to take care of business or just to stretch your legs my truck is never down to 350-400 by the time I park. It's just to hot in that area in the summer time as well. I use the Clifford Alarm type turbo timer. It's set for 10 minutes to shut down and it works great. The other advantage to this system is, I can start it from over a mile away and let it run with the AC on, and when I get in the truck it's nice and cool.
