transmission question
Is the 3rd Gear in a C-6 Transmission Higher than the 3rd Gear in a E4OD? I have a 1994 F-150 with a 300 I-6 how much difference in gas mileage do you guess I would get if I swaped from an E4OD to a C-6? I know it will burn more gas but just wondering how much more.

Third gear in both is 1-1. I think you would lose quite a bit when highway crusin', not so much, if any, around town. Personally, I would love to have an OD tranny in place of the C-6!

You also lose the lockup torque converter when you change from the E4OD to the C6.
In my experience the difference between an E4OD and C6 is about 3-4 MPG.
