M50D Plugs

What's the easiest way to get access to replace the rubber plugs on the Mazda 5sp? I found a couple references to replacing them on a Ranger but nothing on a full size (94 F150 2WD).

Thanks,
Jeff

From inside the cab. You will need to pull up the carpet (or floor mat), then remove the cab floor that covers the trans. Then you should be able to get to the plugs from there.

Thanks for the info- it was a whole lot easier than doing it from underneath.

Next Question-
Just how much fluid do these things hold? The owner's manual says 3.9 quarts, Haynes says almost 8 quarts. It looks like another "feed it until it doesn't hold any more" like the rear end was. I just don't want to make 4 trips to get more ATF. I only got about 3 1/4 quarts out of it.

Thanks again,
Jeff

I don't remember how much the M5OD holds. I don't have mine anymore. It ate itself, so I replaced it with a NP435.
I do remember that when I changed the fluid, I just filled until it wouldn't fill anymore.
